How to earn through adsense and wht it is exactly?

If i want to make my own blog on blogger or blogspot wht i hv to do and how i can earn money through it?Whts adsense it requires lot of formalities of posting ads.i am not able to understand.Is there anyother site for writing my own blog or webpage and earning money also in rupees.
