I'm really confused/upset need advice?

Sounds like the classic 7 year itch.... Unfortunately, he is probably off with other women, sorry, but that kinda sounds like what this is. If you think you will end up together, then you will have to deal with the fact that he called a break so he could go off and be single - that is not fair or ok, especially with a child. You love him now, but you will get over him if you give that a shot. Behaving this way does not show that he loves you or cares about you.
