My revolver hammer wont cock back...?

Please lets be mature for once. My friend has a Clerke 1st .32 S&W, He will be giving it to me soon. I will gladly take the gun. But the gun has a problem. The hammer wont cock back, and it wont shoot without the hammer cocking back. The hammer cocks back every so often for some reason, but it nevers consistently cocks back. In all seriousness, I just want to fire the gun. I know its considered the worst revolver everrrrr, but just help for once. And I know the gun may be terrible, butr it will do for now. Refrain from being a asshole.
