Seattle to vancouver?

i am a Indian citizen living in USA with L1 VISA , me and my friends decided to go Vancouver from Seattle by rental car , do i need a VISA or PASSPORT is enough , Whether the Rental car can be moved to other countries , While returning to USA do i need to go through any formalities , Please advise Thanks in advance
