Is it ok to have oral sex with a possible fungal infection?

I seem to have a ring of extra skin on my penis forming. It is underneath the foreskin, below the head. At first it was just a blob, i picked it and it did bleed for a bit. Now it seems to be forming a ring around the penis. I told my dad and showed him the problem. He knows a guy who owns a pharmacy but is also a doctor. As soon as he mentioned the problem the doctor said its a fungal infection and prescribed me thrush cream. (Just to let you know, I have had sex only once, but it was unprotected sex, but this was like 3 months ago. This has occurred recently over a few weeks). To me it does look like a fungal infection, as the top of the extra skin has partings in it. But I have seen the symptoms for thrush and I do not have them. There is no itch, no pain. I have been seeing a girl recently, only been a week and we are already on about doing things, ie oral sex. I haven't told her of this as its quite embarrassing, we are planning on doing this wednesday. However I am trying to get myself in at the doctors tomorrow to see what he says. Any of you know what this could be? As I don't have the symptoms! And do you think I should refrain from any sexual contact?
